Is there a reason that the weapon master class AT doesn't have dagger seems silly to me that I can use a Two Hand axe or Dual axe sword combo with surgical precision but if I use dagger I trip over my own to feet and fall on it

Real Templars wield no daggers, those are the weapons of puny races which can't properly hold a mighty 2 handed weapon in EACH HAND!

My suspicion is that their hands are so big and powerful that they would lose the dagger and get embarrassed when it gets embedded in their foot.

Any chance of them having dagger added to them? I just can't make sense of them being not able to use certain SS armor cause it lands 1 dag req when they are a weapon specialist type class lol

OR ....

WE make a new weapon skill for them. THE SPEAR!

I make new sprites and we make only Templars and maybe Smellies able to wield them, 2 handed heavy and massive spears.

We go with Freya giving out the quest for the spear because why not.

When they finish they can now properly wield THE SPEAR!!

Spear Bonus:
When the spear crits it's an AOE crit of mayhem! Both Sides and front and what ever is infront maybe a few squares away, gets done for.

Much like a full arch swing of a spear, all the enemies in front of it are slashed and obliterated!

And penalties for defence or if hit from behind?

Yes!
Actually it could even give some AV 2-5 cause you are doing full swings in front of you (and that kind of counts as defense) but then your back is uncovered which means more damage from behind.

I would prefer the idea you had the other day:

Templar using rage to cast his abilities.
Its unique and refreshing;exactly what the class needs:)

but lot more work I guess.

I've always like idea of a skill like Rage that as you successfully hit enemies that directly surround (you so front back and sides) your chance of a Critical or Vicious Crit goes up slightly once you move from the tile you were standing on The raised Chance for Criticals resets to 0 and maybe even after you kill like 10 enemies it resets so people cent just stand in AT with critical chance raised to max and gain exp
