Blacksmith/Lockpick Soulstone

Post by Ratheart »

Correct me if any of this is wrong :).

Out of the Crafting Skills:
  • * Harvesting
    * Crafting
    * Blacksmith
    * Alchemy
Only Blacksmith mod affects the resulting product (Level of + to stats).
I heard the others can affect the success chance at low levels??

So if your Blacksmith character isn't a RB Seyan you cannot hit the max caps. The others can be on any character.
I'm not sure if this was by design, was Seyan meant to be the only blacksmith 'Masters'?

Could we get Blacksmith added to the list of available Soulstone so other classes could craft 1-2 pieces when wanting to Blacksmith?
Similar to Lockpick, only Seyan(?) can get 200mod to open the door in Cohors, if we add soulstones you could carry some pieces around to help on doors.

I have seen AHs open that door. So Seyans aren't the only ones.
If I recall right, RD2 has lockpick gemstones to create your own lockpick boosters.

Mods on harvest and craft need to be 200+ to get 100% success. Otherwise expect (quite) some failure, depending on how low the mod is.

Ninjas get 105base Lockpick, so they can Lockpick :P

Ninjas are also 105/60/105 (B/I/A) so they have same mods as a Seyan for Blacksmithing.

Adding blacksmith to rings would give 'the masters' more mastery, wouldnt fix your issue.
Would just see Seyans/Ninjas running around making +18-20 gear

Put the Professions on a class that suits ;p

gemstones can create up to skill 49 ([s]or 50?[/s]).
Looks like assassinate, undead comp and skele comp are not on the list.

No plans at the moment to change race/profession skill levels - you need to decide which race for each profession.
